I joke about how it’s easy to write catchy music in Spanish, like “La luna, la noche. Mmm. Caliente.” so a lot of lyrics here made me chuckle, especially “mangata” but I don’t actually speak Spanish so what do I know I listened to it late at night while alone at the gym, and enjoyed it. I’d say it’s a “hot summer night in the city melancholia and among many people you met on a pretty mid night out was also a girl that’s not a goth but is a sort of a self-proclaimed witch” sound to me Listened to it because @regentsedai posted!
Judeline is like that ghost girl in a horror movie haunting the main character by talking in code and riddles, except here she decides to present them through music while singing with her mouth barely open. (I saw her live so can confirm this) I like the lullabyish feel mixed with hip stirring beats; add to that some dark billie eilish style visuals, andalusian flair and religious imagery and you got yourself, in my humble opinion, some long lasting sauce.
