ライブ版（1998年・赤坂ブリッツ公演）とスタジオ版を聴いた。どちらも素晴らしいが、選ぶならライブ版だ。 これは本質的に非常に長い楽曲であり、確かに繰り返しの多い曲ではあるものの、まとまりのある作品だと感じられる。単なる曲に偽装した途切れないノイズの連続ではなく、35分間（ライブ版なら45分間）の音楽作品として、途切れなく聴くことを意図した作品だと実感する。 ただ一点気になるのは、水に何かが落ちるという繰り返される効果音の一つが、トイレにうんちが落ちる音に酷似していて、時々少々不快に感じることだ。 非常に温かく、ノスタルジックで、ほろ苦い。二度と経験できないと分かっている愛する人たちとの瞬間を彩るサウンドトラックだ。その感覚が35～45分にわたって広がっている。魔法のようなインストゥルメンタルに加え、ボーカリストの声は非常に独特で心地よい。最初は耳に少し荒く感じられるかもしれないが、ただただ素晴らしい。 Here's the English version of my review for all the gaijins out there: Listened to the live version (Live at Akasaka Blitz / 1998), and the studio version. Both are incredible but if I had to choose, I'd go with the live version. This is essentially a very long song, and it does feel like a cohesive, albeit repetitive, song. It's not just an uninterrupted stream of noise disguised as a song, it feels like an actual 35-minute (or 45 minute if you're listening to the live version) piece of music meant to be listened to without interruption. The one qualm I have with it is that one of the repeated sound effects of something dropping into water is a bit too similar to the sound of poop dropping into a toilet, and it gets a bit annoying at times. It's very warm, nostalgic and bittersweet. A soundtrack to those moments with loved ones you know you'll never be able to experience again. It's that feeling stretched over 35-45 minutes, aside from the magical instrumentals the vocalists voice is very unique and comforting, despite sounding a bit harsh on the ears at first. Just incredible.
