Fun and confident, it’s good pop, pretty boppy and light, but done so with intention. I listened to the first half at the gym, the second half at the beach, which ended up matching the flow of songs really well. The whole album is re-listenable, too. Two little side notes: in such a solid, very Gaga album, How Bad Do You Want Me sticks out like a sore thumb, I had to check my phone to make sure I didn’t end up in a Swift/Roan playlist by accident. Die With A Smile is a wonderful song and a sad reminder of how short form content ruins music by overusing the same 10 seconds, making you sick of a song without even listening to it.
