The world wasn’t ready for ‘Inside’ when it came out, and I’m still feeling the sting of late lockdown depression scrubbed raw by Burnham’s insanity. I’m just about healed enough to brave the Outtakes. Maybe in a few years, when I stop thinking about Socko pleading for his life in vain. With that said, I think the song “Chicken” is on this album and it’s my absolute favorite. The line: “The chicken wakes up like she does every morning, to the sound of her husband screaming” Is art and beauty and meaning.
