One of the greatest albums of all time from on of the greatest bands of all time. The first FIVE tracks could each be another band's "best song" and they could just ride that high for the rest of their careers, Steely Dan just casually puts them as the first half of this album. Perhaps the only flaw is that the latter half slightly pales in comparison, nothing after "The Fez" resonates as much with me as those opening five tracks. I really can't say anything about this that hasn't already been said or do the quality of this album justice. It's just insane how everything about this album is incredible, at the risk of sounding like an old man yelling at cloud, this lightning in a bottle just doesn't seem to happen anymore. Steely Dan does it repeatedly with such ease and elegance, as if they're just vessels for some divine being blessing us with grooves, solos and catchy lyrics the human mind can just barely comprehend. Must listen record for everyone. Favorite tracks: The Fez, Caves of Altamira, Kid Charlemagne
