Not exaclty summer listening but I couldn't resist coming back to this record after seeing it pop up on Youtube Music. Fantastic horror hip hop album from the experimental trio Clipping. They've never missed and each of their projects has something of value to find but this horrorcore stint they've been on recently has been wonderful. The noisy and experimental production somehow meshes well with Daveed's (the Hamilton guy) high pitch voice and unconventional rapping. It might take some getting used to but I respect how unapologetic they are about their style. I especially love how they're able to interweave modern socio economic topics, or characters, with traditional horror storytelling and themes. Check the Lock is one of my favorites and it's a song about a gangsters paranoia affecting his day to day life. Enlacing is another highlight, juxtaposing a bad trip with lovecraftian horror, just super imaginative and original stuff, I love the bravery.
