A difficult one to rate. On one hand, every line Olds writes lodges in your heart and twists. On the other, it’s my least favorite of her works. I appreciate that this will change as I experience more of the things she writes of, but as of yet, the topics don’t connect as well. On the /third/ hand, giving Olds anything but full marks is the sort of blasphemy I try to keep clear of.
