Returned to Murakami's world with his latest book; as much as I appreciate his work, one must confess it is also a bit too much at times and it has been a couple of years since I read one of his books. The first part was rather annoying, losing a direction in the narrative, and seeoming like an exercise on itself, requiring an effort from me to keep reading, as there didn't seem to be a guiding line or even a hint at what to expect... boring, at times, and challenging my patience. Eventually made it and the remaining content became rather meaningful and got my attention. Murakami's writing started to make sense and we enter a real story telling mode. I do believe this is the result of the re-writing of the initial tale, from his early years, and this conclusion, so many years later, that reflects the evolution of his writing. The end is surprising, and immersed in his fully uinreal reality. Guess I'll be back to Murakami's books. Recommended.
