Oedipa, a young woman from a small town in California, is named a co-executor of a will of her former lover, a real estate mogul. As she sets off to sort it out, she starts noticing things that lead her to believe there might be a massive 300-year old and still ongoing conspiracy related to.. the postal system. Reading this book is like experiencing a fever dream while wondering around a labyrinth, slightly paranoid and potentially high on psychedelics having absolutely no idea what could appear around the corner. If you can accept that’s how it is, it’s quite enjoyable. It’s not at all long but it’s really, really dense, not as much in plot as in descriptions, almost every sentence packed with references, I struggled with that a little bit at first, but overall great, if you’re into strange, go for it.
