A quartet of murderous psychopaths break out of a mental hospital during a power blackout and lay siege to their doctor's house.
A family end up besieged by four escapee from the local mental hospital after a citywide blackout. The mental patients are played by Jack Palance and a very menacing Martin Landau wielding an axe. The premise is simple, but executed greatly. Their psychiatrist is played by the equally great Donald Pleasence The effects are made by the always awesome Tom Savini, and it shows. I was very pleasantly surprised by the movie. It has a great eerie mood. Part of Junesploitation - Day 30 – 80s horror
