Madeline is married to Ernest, who was once her arch-rival Helen's fiancé. After recovering from a mental breakdown, Helen vows to kill Madeline and steal back Ernest. Unfortunately for everyone, the introduction of a magic potion causes things to be a great deal more complicated than a mere murder plot.

Ten out of ten masterpiece of fun, camp glory. It’s got everything, immortalized lines, actors chewing the scenery, hilarious plot and Meryl Streep. I’ve watched it upwards of ten times and enjoyed each. Optimal viewing experience is with a couple of friends, on a lazy Sunday, with a good bottle of wine. White, for preference, but something with bubbles would suit as well.
Very fun throughout! The sets, special effects, all outstanding. Aged remarkably well. The story also kept you guessing. I think it dragged quite a lot, perhaps because I was tired, but I started feeling like it was significantly longer than it needed to be for the plot. It should have elaborated on the cult in an Eyes Wide Shut way, or something similar. But still really fun due to the performances and unusual storytelling.
