Jeg elsker Rian Johnsons nyeste mordmysterie med Daniel Craig som Benoit Blanc. Han er en suveræne instruktør og manuskriptforfatter, og med et helt forrygende cast er det rent nydelse fra start til slut. Det er en klassisk whodunit, og den trækker på alle de kendte karaktertræk med intertekstuelle referencer tilbage til ”Evil Under the Sun” og ”And Then There Were None” Ting jeg elskede: Alle de smukke setups, som perler på en snor. ”Thats Jared Letos hard Kombucha!” Edward Norton, som en smuk karikatur på Elon Musk. Han er den perfekte douchebag. Hugh Grants blinker du misser du den cameo. Renning Hot Chilli Sauce! ”What is reality!” Det er en klar favorit til at være i blandt min top 5 i år.
How does this movie have such a good rating. It's shockingly bad. The "mystery" doesn't hold up even slightly and I fail to see why they even needed to include a detective in the film. Too many unfired Chekhov's guns left at the end as well which just points to a rushed or badly thought out script. It's sad that they couldn't replicate the brilliance of Knives out even slightly here.
Over an hour to even get started, before that it was random pandemic jokes, irrelevant dialogue, recurring jokes that didn’t fit into the narrative at all, bland characters, and ultimately, a convoluted and random finale. It’s clear the plot points and grand moments were sketched and intended to happen, without any feeling of what happens in between. I enjoyed the first one, this was unfortunately nowhere near as good
This was so camp... respect Edward Norton as a sociopath, but an absolute dumbass sociopath *chef's kiss* Knives out was a better mystery, but this was so fun
