In a small town in Maine, seven children known as The Losers Club come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.
Great horror with some truly good child actors, and that is what makes or breaks the movie. The young kids really saves and lift the story and movie up. The only bad thing about the kids and the characters is Mike. In the book he is the kids with the historical knowledge of Derry, but in this movie this is given to Ben instead, which unfortunately renders Ben somewhat indifferent. Because of this Ben ends up being the token black kid that we see in act one, and the introduced at the end of act 2. Of all the kids Ben and to some extent Stan seems like the most underdeveloped characters, which is a shame. As with most of Stephen Kings stories the Bullies are the most shallow characters. They are insane psychopaths, and we really don't get a great reason for their motivations, and in the end you really don't need them in the movie. The movie utilizes some interesting camera techniques in its depiction of Pennywise. Pennywise has a great design, and really rubs one the wrong way. Th
