Moby Dick. But with sharks.
Classic for a reason, I've written more scattered but detailed thoughts in our Cinema Enjoyers club which I find difficult to structure into an actual review.
My mum watched this in 1975 so I still have to listen to “be careful, because of sharks!” when I go swimming in 2025… sure, mum, if I encounter a massive bloodthirsty shark I’ll be careful, I guess One of my favourite summer movies
team #shark tbh incredible production, cinematography, sound design, everything I wish they toned down the whimsical music in some moments, but altogether an absolutely deserving classic that has charm, suspense, action, and timeless moments. This was my second watch and it's still so well paced and enjoyable.
