Wow this was genuinely an extremely shocking and disturbing film, definitely wouldn’t recommend it for the faint of heart. The performances were impressive, but Chloë Sevigny really showed her acting chops in her film debut. I really admire her bravery and boldness as an actress. I couldn’t say I recommend this horrific look into the lives of New York teenagers in the 90s, but there’s something to be said about the unflinching realism portrayed on screen, almost feeling like a documentary at times.
