When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers.
If you like Gremlins then you're going to like Krampus. It's a funny little story, with a couple of small inconsistencies. I don't quite understand why the german grandmother, doesn't tell her story a bit earlier. It has some rough edges, but it works as a siegehorror movie. The use of practical effects are stunning, and really amazing. More horror movies should be sticking to practical effects. And thats why its a bit sad that the gingerbread-men are so-so CGI.
