Everyone has their own Chimera, something they try to achieve but never manage to find. For Arthur, the Chimera looks like the woman he lost, Beniamina. In an adventurous journey between the living and the dead, between forests and cities, between celebrations and solitudes, the intertwined destinies of these characters unfold, all in search of the Chimera.

A slice of magical realism life film exploring themes already explored in an compelling and subdued way. The setting and characters are very original and while it did feel a bit too Instagram-y at some points overall I enjoyed watching it very much. I don't want to give any details about the plot or the characters as one of my favorite aspects is how it slowly unfurls itself, revealing details about the setting and the characters without ever delivering any exposition. I wonder how different it would be on a rewatch? There isn't really a mystery there but just the everyday basics are obscured from the viewer, which creates this wonderful dream like feeling while watching. So, yeah, great film.
