Each of Tarkovsky's films is to be seen to be believed This is his most subdued yet, and the whole thing feels surreal, and I even felt overwhelmed trying to make sense of it. When I stopped trying to make sense of it, it became a beautiful experience.
Now I finally get all those people who wrote to Tarkovsky after this movie came out
