I love this cute, mostly forgotten biopic. I’ve been rewatching it on occasion almost since it came out 20 years ago. It’s as sweet and charming as Beatrix Potter’s books, has a poignant reflection on loss, is full of pompous British upperclass quirks, and Renee Zellweger clocked in a resonating and quietly confident performance. Ewan McGregor was swoon worthy, and it has many familiar players from British cinema. Perfect for a cozy night in.
