During her Christmas holidays with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, Diana decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles.
The film looks good and Kristen Stewart does a great job although I think she lacks a certain maturity that Diana had. The screenplay unfortunately really lets the film down. The metaphors and symbolisms are heavy handed and delivered through often cringy dialog to the point that I laughed a couple of times. I was also not always sure if it was trying to get me to sympathize with Diana or if they were painting her as a bit of a difficult person causing problems for everyone. Overall not an enjoyable experience.
