The story of Auschwitz's twelfth Sonderkommando — one of the thirteen consecutive "Special Squads" of Jewish prisoners placed by the Nazis in the excruciating moral dilemma of assisting in the extermination of fellow Jews in exchange for a few more months of life.
A really moving and great KZ-movie, that does well to depict the gruesomeness of the KZ-camps. Its cruel and creates some horrifying scenes of people forced to do the worst against their own. Some of the best scenes in the movie shows how insane the system is with the SS counting the dead, and the random act of evil. One of the biggest problems of the movie is that the plot uses the language barrier as a plot point. But all the actors speak english, so it ends up being a bit silly, when the Oberscharführer can't understand what is being said in english, at the same time he is speaking english with a bad german accent.
