After a doctor kills his mistress and himself while researching the mysterious previous owner of his Boston home, his colleague, Dr. Norman Boyle, takes over his studies and moves his family into the Boston mansion. Soon after, Boyle's young son Bob becomes plagued by visions of a young girl, who warns him of the danger within the house.
Nudity – We get the bare minimum. Violence – I didn’t know that a human body could have so much blood, and so many maggots! Cool effects almost 40 years later - I miss practical effects. Part of Junesploitation - day 19 - Italian Horror --- Vi følger en familie, der flytter ind i Oak Mansion i en forstad til Boston. Af en eller anden grund har de døbt deres barn Bob, hvilket gør at jeg allerede tænker, at de har fortjent at dø! Huset skjuler en mørk hemmelighed om den oprindelig familie. Det er noget i kælderen… Filmen er superfed og har tonsvis af seje effekter, hvor blod og maddiker sprøjter ud over det hele. Historien er også til at forstå, altså så meget man kan forstå en historie fra Fulci. Det er klassisk Fulci, og hvis man kan lide italiensk horror, så er det fantastisk underholdning.
