After a defecting Russian general reveals a plot to assassinate foreign spies, James Bond is assigned a secret mission to dispatch the new head of the KGB to prevent an escalation of tensions between the Soviet Union and the West.
Timothy Dalton's first outing as Bond. Its a different bond compared to Roger Moore's, not as punny. I like that it brings a lot more realisme to the series after some more unserious movies with Roger Moore. It has some really cool action set pieces. Especially the start sequences is really great. I'm not so happy with the soundtrack. It's a bit tame compared to the other movies. The theme songs feel a bit odd, when used during a action sequence in Afghanistan. Overall a great proto Daniel Craig Bond.
