Made me feel uncomfortable for it's entirety and I love it for that. Similar vibes to Mother back in the day where you feel you're really deep into it. I couldn't switch it off even if I wanted to, which i didn't.

Honestly not sure if the filmmakers are chauvinists or critiquing chauvinism. The visual effects were super cool and i loved the cinematography. But the women were written by men. Or at least the male gaze. It was exploitative. I can see how maybe that was the point, maybe. It felt as if Elisabeth is completely at fault for what happened to her. If we look at this as a feminist movie, the only people who will get it are feminists already. Everyone else will only see the things that perpetuate chauvinism.
