A 7 year old girl named Razieh goes through a turbulent series of road bumps in her quest to purchase a goldfish. It’s not just any goldfish, it’s “white like a bride and looks like it dances with its beautiful fins”. I love slice of life stories like this, where you see the mundane, beauty, and challenges in every day life. Seeing this through the eyes of a child was such a heartwarming experience, and the social commentary at the end was moving and thought provoking. Must see if you enjoy films like Petite Maman.
