A documentary about World War I with never-before-seen footage to commemorate the centennial of Armistice Day, and the end of the war.
these are the kinds of important documentaries. without a lot of fluff, just remastered clips of the era so we can get closer to imagining what it may have been like in times of wars across the world it’s important to remember that it is literal hell for humans. this is unfortunately too abstract for a lot of people, and this film tries to paint a picture and remember we only hear from people who survived, many didn’t, their voices were lost it didn’t necessarily impact me emotionally, it was a sober retelling, which i appreciate wars make hard times which make strong people, and these people were tough as nails, by necessity
