Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared.
Alicia Vikander works really well as Lara Croft, and works equally as well as a action star. And this is the best Tomb Raider movie by far. The story is okay, but first really get interesting, when they start tomb raiding. But the movie is way to long and filled with too much ekspositions. Crofts Father is just one mean exposition machine. Its his exposition in the prologue, during the movie through the diary, and again when she finds him. His only role is to give exposition, and giving the bad guy some leverage against Lara. The movie is a faithfull adaption of the new Tomb Raider games, and its mostly for the better. The scenes and challenges that works is mostly based on scene s from the game. The movie wants to do way too much. But im still interested in the movie series as a whole has potential, and im curious on where its going to go after this.
