Ran into this on TV, decided to check it out since it's the only new Apes film that I haven't seen, I've seen the first two both in cinemas. It was a very long time ago at this point but I remember enjoying them. Ceasar is a great character and it's nice to see a good wrap up for this trilogy. The film looks great and the apes are practically realistic. The plot itself is kind of boring and I think Harrelson does a pretty bad job at playing the cartoonishly over the top villain. The comic relief character and the human girl are there mostly to force the plot forwards at points, pretty transparent, but the comic relief is pretty funny and the relationship between the girl and Maurice is cute. I really liked the resolution that Harrelson character gets, I didn't expect it and I think it works pretty well to ||further solify him as a pathetic drivelling fascist man child using other beings lives to cope with his own inability to handle emotions. || Worth a watch on a lazy Sunday night.
