As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.

Good grief. And I like musicals. It deserves one star, honestly, but the vocal performances and costuming were fantastic. I just can’t with the endless attempts to tie it in with the Wizard of Oz. Just stop, okay? You’re making a movie based on a musical that’s based loosely on a terrible book that’s based on a fantastic movie that’s based on an aggressively average book series. You’re far too many steps removed from the original book series to even attempt to make some clever reference. The end product looks both overbaked and underbaked at the same time.
