If Attack on Titan was a novel by Dostoevsky, critics would call it a “gritty exploration of free will under fascism.” But no, it’s anime. Peak anime. I’m convinced that if it was written by a “serious” author like Shakespeare or Dostoevsky, we’d be forced to write essays on it in school. Honestly, it’s a modern classic. Even if you’re not into anime, this one breaks the mold. It’s too powerful, too layered, too human to ignore
