In a uniquely hilarious odyssey of self-discovery and cultural observation, documentary filmmaker and self-described "anxious New Yorker" John Wilson covertly and obsessively films the lives of his fellow New Yorkers while attempting to give everyday advice on relatable topics. The awkward contradictions of modern life are eased by Wilson’s candid, unpolished commentary. Building upon Wilson’s previously released "how to" short films, each episode takes wildly unexpected turns but is grounded in John's refreshing honesty.

Very unique in it's presentation and topic curation, extremely emotional at times. The quirky "spontaneous" facade does start to fall apart in the latter half of the final season but it's mostly by design and John does decide the end the show in a great spot. Very creative "documentary" show that will be sticking with everyone who watches it for a long time. It makes me feel a weird mixture of disgust and awe toward the entirety of human race, but especially New Yorkers. I've never wanted to simultaneously stay as far away from a place as possible, but also visit it at the same time. Excited to see what John does next.
