I pushed through the first season, and yes, the rhythm kind of picked up by the last episodes, ||at least cliffhangers cliffhanged me||. Nevertheless I agree that this series is overhyped. Now season two was far more interesting to me. I was much more invested when ||they realised they could get out (overtime contingency) and did everything, together, to know wtf was going on. I Hated the cisgender office romance, hated it. But I loved the Burt & Irving one.|| Harmony was the least interesting villain of all time probably (but I am of the opinion that Patricia Arquette did a hell of a job!) The last episode of the second season was amazing ||up until the last bit of it. Did I mention that I hated that one office romance?|| I see a lot of character growth in Mr. Milchick (such a great interpretation from Trammell Tillman) and what an important character he is. I must say that the best episode (and the most heartbreaking one too) was ||s.2 ep.7 Chikhai Bardo.|| I'm glad I kept watching, because season 2 delivered.

Bit weaker than the first season, but still a solid watch.
S1 made me think this will become one of those “greatest TV shows of all time”, S2 made me worry it might become another Westworld. S2 finale was exciting and satisfying despite the whole season kind of dragging. Whatever was happening for most of S2 was relevant, it was just so slow, and I don’t mean slow-burn, there was no burn. Right now I’m as sceptical about S3 as I was hyped about S2. Let’s see 🙏🏻
Season 3 as a whole was somewhat of a letdown, the middle part especially felt forced and it felt like irrational choices from usually rational characters were driving the plot forward (for example Devon deciding to team up with another character completely out of nowhere). There are some boring episodes and generally I don't really vibe with the "mysterious spooky culty" angle of the Eagens. The show still looks and sounds fantastic, the acting is great and the finale is immensely enjoyable. I'd still recommend it to pretty much anyone and I think it's a perfectly accessible show with just enough sauce to make it stand out.
