Drink everytime someone says ‘destiny’… Rewatching this because I’m craving some fantasy TV. After speaking to a friend who’s read some of the books, I understand The Witcher gets the same treatment as other adaptions ie let’s completely change the story, make it easy to digest and add some corny annoying comic relief. HOWEVER, it does satisfy my need to see some cunty female characters takeover and kick ass or just serve face, either is fine - I pretty much continue watching for my girls Yen and Triss, because season 2 is already weaker and season 3 is a major clusterfuck. Henry Cavill’s devotion to the character and the story is palpable (but bye bye Mr Cavill :() and, despite other’s opinions, I still think some of the other actors deliver solid performances.
